THE FAKE PLACE
The Fake Place Story The Fake Place (or TFP for short) was co-founded by Stonewolf and Kaspy in september 2005. The creation of the Fake Place was mainly so Stonewolf and Kaspy could realise their own ideas after being moderators at other forums. When the forum went live Fubar was also a major part of the administration team. The Fake place pride themselfs on their freindly atmosphere and time for every fakir attitude. This style of management has went down with the fakirs as the forum was went from strenth to strenth. The Fake Place also uses a small competitions style, similar to the Underworld style, to keep the forum active. One of these contests is the unique GOMPF (meaning "Gallery of modern Place Faking") where voting would be made on the weeks latest fakes to find the best fake of the week. This was also continued onto a monthly vote in the same manner. To enter is easy, you simply post you're fakes. This style of contest was a great idea to get every active fakir more involved in the forum and has proofed to be popular. The Fake Place took their friendly attitude to another level with the willingness to advertise other faking forums free of charge on every page of their forum. This was a radicle step to take to advertise what is essentially you're rivals but has so far proofed positive for the faking community as a whole. This step has helped in some way to bring the faking community closer together again after the mat and strip rift and the communtiy rivalry growth over the past few years. In late 2006 three of the moderator team left to start their own forum. Mullins, Nada and Laskada decided to start a Spanish fakir forum called "Faktory Fakes". It meant all three fakirs had to leave their post as mod at the Fake Place to 'give their new forum the best chance of success'. Faktory fakes has quickly become the home of most Spanish speaking fakirs. Also in 2006 FuGumby left the admin team at The Fake Place, for personal reasons. He was back shortly after however and given the rank of moderator. Today The Fake Place is one of the biggest faking communities around and is still growing.
