SCOTTSS FORUM
Scottss Forum Story Scottss Forum is a section of Scottss.com pay-site, it was founded by Scottss in late 1997. The forum was, like the rest of the site, once free to all. This was early in the sites history and only lasted for a short time, however it was its highest moment in the faking timeline. At this time Scottss forum was the only major faking community forum and had a monopoly. This may have been the reason to transfer the site from free to pay. This has made scottss.com as a whole one of the best faking sites on the net, but unfortunately left the forum to rot. When Scottss.com changed to a pay-site a tactic was employed to get more fakirs in and continue the trend. However it was based on fakirs identifying other fakirs (mainly from the Yahoo groups) and giving them a "fakirs pass". This worked for a while but when a new free forum came along in the form of "The Laundr-o-mat" it meant any fakir or collector could sign up and post fakes without requiring a pass. Eventually with other forums
(all free) coming along it meant Scottss forum was pushed to the
sidelines and was even widely unknown by the newer fakirs of the 21st
century. This combined with Scottss.com focusing on the gallery side of
the pay-site (now at over 90,000 fakes!) meant the forum was left to be
no more than a messageboard. Communities with
