THE
INTERVIEW
CelebFakirs.com:
How did you find out celebrity faking existed? Proto: Somthing started seeming fishy about some of the images
turning up on celeb sites i visited.
CelebFakirs.com:
What was the first fake you ever saw and who faked
it? Proto: I had made fakes before i'd got internet access but after
that probably a gillian anderson that i remember at least, it was quite
a well known fake at the time i think but i don't know who made it, it
was a small co of her first FHM shoot. But it was nice to know i wasn't
the only person wanting to see more celeb skin.
CelebFakirs.com:
What made you get into faking? Proto: love celebs, love tits, love image manipulation, what else
would i have got into?
CelebFakirs.com:
Who was the lucky celeb who was first faked by
yourself? Proto: digitaly it was Martine Mccutcheon, i don't have that one
anymore sadly.
I don't have any of my earliest fakes because they wern't anything like
how i fake now, the earliest were on a mac and saved to floppys i lost.
this one is about as early as i can find and it still somtimes pops up
on celeb boards.
CelebFakirs.com:
When did you do you're first fake? Proto: hmmm i would guess about 2001 properly. Before that, it
was faking Jim, but not as we know it.
CelebFakirs.com:
Who has been the biggest influence in you're
faking career to date? Proto: Drheinz mostly. If i can expand, people like Mrowl75,
vincent, doc fakenhouser, Sank, and more recently TFP probably have had
the most creative influence on me over time. Other guys like Fredd, Kilo
and some of the newer guys like TC3 and a few others have sparked a good
reaction in me. I'd also mention Fubar, although he's not really
influenced my work directly, he pushed me to participate on fake boards
and without that moment i wouldn't be here now, wouldn't have done
anything after that moment probably. also a long long time ago a guy
named mistermacs who got me to publish my "fakes" on his yahoo group for
the first time with confidence. But like i said, Drheinz has had the
biggest influence on my faking through the most enjoyable last few years
as he's been the guy thats helped me most to acheive what i have, kept
it intresting, honest and been a general Professor Charles Xavier for
me.
CelebFakirs.com:
Who would you consider to be the best fakir around
at the moment? Proto: Hypo probably has the biggest "cor blimey guvnor!" effect
on me
CelebFakirs.com:
Who would you consider to be the best fakir of all
time? Proto: thats hard to pin on one person because all the greats do
it differently. i suppose if you try and mix longevity and talent i'd
say fredd, like IMO he might not be the very best active fakir and he
might not be the best old timer but if you average it out, hes always
been banging them out at the top standard of any given time as far as
i've been aware.
CelebFakirs.com:
And for the future, do you see any fresh faces
that you think will go on to be the best one day? Proto: theres a couple fresh faces i would say are amoungst the
best already. but if they stopped tommorrow then they wouldn't lol, so i
don't wanna specify, but its a good time for your fakir alias to start
with T or H
CelebFakirs.com:
What do you consider to be you're best fake to
date? Proto: damn thats hard to say on any given day my answer would
change. 3 recent ones i really liked....
CelebFakirs.com:
What has been the highlight of you're career so
far? Proto: The founding New Fake City.
CelebFakirs.com:
Why the alter-ego choice? Proto: Kind of an accident, i made a sig with a lego man riding a
buggy over a naked woman landscape, people seemed to connect to the lego
thing and i ran with it. now i'm stuck with it,
but i also somtimes flirt with using christopher walken and thats just
because he's the greatest.
CelebFakirs.com: If you could marry any
celeb who would it be? Proto: ignoring RL for a moment, i think it'd be winona ryder,
alba or jolie are maybe better looking but vacant and scary respectivly
(from what we see).
CelebFakirs.com:
And who would be you're bit on the side? Proto: oh right, a jess alba/angelina jolie sandwich then
CelebFakirs.com:
Where do you see yourself in 5, 10 years time? Proto: pretty much as i am fakin wise, still helping others,
still enjoying my work and still enjoying the people.
CelebFakirs.com:
where do you see the faking world being in 5, 10
years time? Proto: Pretty much the same actually, i don't see any major shake
up happening. i don't think the medium will change much either images
will still be the most direct form of faking. The average standard of
faking will continue to rise. when the quality of video available online
improves maybe more vid faking. oh and maybe someone will start making
proper flash fake games (D@tch makes nice flash, but they're not that
gamey) or somthing.
CelebFakirs.com:
Is there anything that you would like to add? Proto: hmmm i'd like to say somthing deep or important
sounding.... errr ok how about...
Enjoy the process more than the result and the result will get more
enjoyable. yeah that sucks good enough
CelebFakirs.com: Finally.... Celebrity
fakes, art or porn? Proto: LOL that old chestnut. Art for me personaly, but for
anyone its a craft at the very least, sure the principle is to make
somthing erotic or hot with materials which are, more often than not,
porn. But porn is porn, celeb fakes are somthing else and as art can be
so many things , its more art than porn. IMO anyway
