 NEW FAKE CITY
 

 The NFC Story

 New Fake City (or NFC for short) was co-founded by DrHeinz and TFP with Proto and Singleot becoming involved not long after on in May 2005. The creation of the New Fake City was to give the "refugee's" or "homeless" from the closure of The Strip a new home forum.

 This worked as the majority of the strip members quickly and without fuss moved to the NFC and made this their new home. With this influx of members from the Strip the NFC also gained members from the now problematic UnderWorld forum. This included many of the admin team now at the NFC.

 The way the NFC was created made it an instant success with both fakirs and collectors alike. But this did not mean they escaped criticism or got things all their own way. Many national fakirs like the French, German and Spanish fakirs left the strip and instead went back to their own national forums instead of onto the NFC.

 Some fakirs also aired their views that the NFC was just a copy of the strip, but without the main event of the "Great Fake Cup". Some even left as a protest. Other smaller complaints were also made public against the NFC. However these were mainly petty complaints and could be put down to the disappointment of The Strip closing.

 The NFC did however make a new concept of tournament (although similar to the "great Fake cup" of the strip) with the KNFC. This is a four week, team based tournament where the five fakirs of each team compete in different competitions to earn their team points. The winning team is the team with the most points at the end.

 Other concepts are the theme-based Great Fake Challenge, the "tag-team duels" and the face/off challenges which was transferred from scottss.com. All of these contests are unique to the NFC.

 In 2006 Singleot and Facecmer both left the admin team for personal reasons. They were replaced in the team by no less than five new faces in the shape of Mullins, Teeceethree, Holden, MrOwl and J-Man. With these new additions to the already hard working admin team, there is little doubt the NFC will continue to grow and remain as the number one forum for many fakirs from around the world.
