CelebFakirs.com: Why the Faking Alias?
Everyone in web uses an alias, so Iīve chosen the initials of my name “AM” which are similar to my favourite Czech Artist “Alphonse Mucha”. He was a great Jugendstil painter and impressed me much and influenced my paintings in the years before I started faking. Thatīs the reason why Iīm still wearing one of his pictures as my logo.

CelebFakirs.com: How did you find out celebrity faking existed?
I donīt really know the exact date. It was in late ī99 when I discovered the depths of world-wide web. At first I collected some celebrity-pictures I grabed elsewehere and tried to manipulate them with my first computer and a small program called Fotoplus 4, not knowing that faking exists. I think it was in spring 2000, as I explored again the web, when I found the link to fredd38. By sending him my first experiments and asking for his opinion he gave me the tip of the ABPNCF faking news-groups. That was the time I found out, that there was a great community doing fakes and where I stayed about 5 years and till I changed my provider. In that time I joined a lot of boards.

CelebFakirs.com: What was the first fake you ever saw and who faked it?
I canīt really remember which was the first first fake I saw, but the work of fredd38 impressed me much, so that his work gave me the kick to it.


CelebFakirs.com: What made you get into faking?
Iīm painting since the age of 14. Real life and small kids around made me changing the medium of real paper and water-colours to the virtual life of a computer. Storing everything you did by pressing one button. At first I tried digital art, exploring the abilites of Corel Draw, but got affected from the founds of net. With another change in my real life I had more off-times, so that I could use this time in developing my knowledgement of graphics and photo programms, not knowing that there are tutes outside to improve. That made my process getting slower than I notice now.


CelebFakirs.com: Who was the lucky celeb who was first faked by yourself?
The very first fake I did of Natalie Portman, but with the knowledgement of today I think it was an UA-hs, so that I wonīt provide a copy of this one (I think itīs to be found on the net, cause I posted it more than once). Another one from that time was a CO of Natalie Imbruglia by copying and cloning parts of her body.

CelebFakirs.com: When did you do you're first fake?
I think it was in spring or summer 2000.


CelebFakirs.com: Who has been the biggest influence in you're faking career to date?
Fredd38 or Yovo impressed me much, but real help I received from fakirs at the NG like TattooHearts, Beardedwonder, JohnUK, TwoDice, D-site (heīs retired), Shaolin and GEO who helped me getting better. Some of them still do up till today. I never post a fake without WIPing or hearing the opinion of my good faker-friends.


CelebFakirs.com: Who would you consider to be the best fakir around at the moment?
I think there are a lot of astonishing talents out there and all depends on personal preference of the individual person. To name some of my favourites itīll be the work of Vince, Hypo, Yovo, TFP, Beardedwonder, D-site, JerryLee, JohnUK, Fredd38, Trillian.

CelebFakirs.com: Who would you consider to be the best fakir of all time?
Within the photo-fakirs D-site or Tango were my long-time favourites, but I hadnīt seen or heard anything of them for years. Within the fantasy-fakirs I want to name beardedwonder. Maybe his results arenīt always perfect, but heīs innovative and always trying new things and he tought me a lot.

CelebFakirs.com: And for the future, do you see any fresh faces that you think will go on to be the best one day?
Hm, there are a lot of talented fakirs outside proceeding very fast, so that I canīt really imagine.

CelebFakirs.com: What do you consider to be you're best fake to date?
Iīve some I like a lot and itīs not easy to choose between them. Maybe these two are my momentary favourites:

CelebFakirs.com: What has been the highlight of you're faking-career so far?
On one side discovering Photoshop, his layer-system, the eraser-tool and the noise-filter, on the other side to be asked for WIPing a lot of fakers.

CelebFakirs.com: Why the alter-ego choice?
I refer to the ego of Alphonse Maria Mucha, one of the first artists to make “pin-up” popular (I explained it before), as well as to the lead singer of the dutch gothic group Winthin Temptation, cause itīs my all-time favourite in music.

CelebFakirs.com: If you could marry any celeb who would it be?
Oh, I wonīt marry a celeb, cause I canīt imagine that this marriage can be of Bestand
and Iīm still married with a beautiful woman.

CelebFakirs.com: And who would be you're bit on the side?
Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley and maybe Scarlett Johansson

CelebFakirs.com: Do you have funny stories to tell us?
The only funny thing I can mention that someone meant considering my feedbacks and the alter-ego-choice that Iīm a woman….

CelebFakirs.com: Where do you see yourself in 5, 10 years time?
Iīm now in faking for about 6 years and I still love doing it, but I canīt imagine doing it all time long. I plan to get into real painting again.

CelebFakirs.com: Where do you see the faking world being in 5, 10 years time?
Considering the quality of mats, thereīll be a progress, but all in all itīll be the same or comparable to what it is now.

CelebFakirs.com: Is there anything that you would like to add?
Thanks for considering me worthy for an interview. I never thought to rank between all those great names of fakirs….

CelebFakirs.com: Finally.... Celebrity fakes, art or porn?
Partly porn, but mainly erotic art. Especially in the fantasy-scene there are painters combining celeb faces with their art and doing fakes is for me a similar kind of (digital-)art.
